Despite the appearance that they men’s basketball team had already retired for break in the moments before the pre-break game against North Yarmouth Academy, the Phoenix had a victory in mind.  Without senior captain Harry Smith in the lineup, Hyde played NYA out of their own gym. The 25-point victory came behind stellar play from Junior Mike Keene and Ted Cercos.  Putting in his usual workmen’s effort, Jonah Alexander battled hard throughout the game.  Alex Needham put in some high quality minutes coming off the bench.  With the score well in hand by mid-way through the third quarter, Hyde’s play in general seemed to become even more fluid and exciting then before.  It was a good win to send the Phoenix off to the winter break.
