The JV Hoopsters opened their season with a seventeen point win over the Huskies of Kents Hill on Saturday afternoon.  Led by Wesley Freson ‘11, the Phoenix offense was firing on all cylinders in the first half.  Wesley hit three 3-pointers to help build a twenty-two point lead heading into the half.  Hyde played solid defense in the second half to preserve the win.  Mac Adams ‘11 was key in the victory grabbing several offensive and defensive rebounds.  Mason Carmel ‘10 also played well on the afternoon. Matan Peltier ’11 and Patrick Serra ’11 put in some quality minutes off the bench. Wesley Freston was man of the match.  He finished the game with sixteen points and played his heart out for the entire game.  Hyde’s next game will be against NYA away on Thursday.
