Hyde - 41
Hebron - 30
Hyde defended their home court on Wednesday afternoon with a 41-30 win over Hebron Academy. With continuous defensive pressure and timely fast break buckets, The Phoenix headed into the half with a seven-point lead. Mason Carmel ‘12 was the spark the offense needed in the first half, as he was able to capitalize on several Hebron turnovers. However, Hebron was able to close the gap in the second half. With less than two minutes remaining in the game, the Lumberjacks had crawled within one point of the Phoenix. Hyde responded by going on a 10-0 run to finish the game. Brendan Hyland ‘11 led all scorers with 15 points in an outstanding performance. Mason Carmel ‘12 chipped in with 12 points and Ryan Connolly had a solid six points. Hyde will travel to Kents Hill for their next game on 1/20.
